COVID-19 has created a difficult time for humans — However many other animals are also suffering, not the least among them horses. As horse owners struggle to feed themselves, horses are left to fend for themselves, to starve and to die.

This is a global pandemic not just affecting humans. Animals are starving. Here are some of the stories being reported.

Travel restrictions due to the national state of emergency and the Covid-19 crisis mean no income for the owners, and no grass or hay for the horses to feed on.
